(Note I’m not that into the line re ‘whipped by the Father’s hand’ – a bit of a relic from the punitive Judeo-Christian traditions, but also a wish for punishment of evildoers. I get it, but nurture, not torture, right?)

Thank you for your patience! I’m building out this website and also building the organization. We live in interesting times….calling on each of us to respond in some way. SF Love Dojo is part of my response to a breakdown in civility and compassion, and also an attempt to strengthen and build my own compassion and mindfulness moving into the second half of my own life. I look forward to being of service to the San Francisco Bay Area community in this capacity and others.

Backstory:

I thought of the name just in time for the 50th Anniversary of the Summer of Love, after I’d taken classes in MSC and CCT, and before I’d started teachers’ training.

SF Love Dojo will offer classes in:

• Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC)
• Compassion Cultivation Training (CCT)
• Transcending the Suffering of Loneliness
